J24 hate, why? - SailNet Community
2025年2月7日 · Hello all. I'm just going to say it, I sail a J24. I sail it, I live on it, I cook on it, I dive off it. Firstly, I am not a"liveaboard". When I think of a liveaboard, I think of a homeless person. With gas cans, bicycles, blue tarps, paddle board and laundry all strewn haphazardly about...
DS 16 sails and parts? - SailNet Community
2009年8月16日 · My main sail is ok for now. needs a little patching here and there. and my jib is good. I have an extra jib, but one of its corners is broken and needs to be fixed. Once you find a main sail and in need of jib, I'll sell you the extra jib if you want. Otherwise, I'll keep it as a spare. Good luck. If I come across a used sail for you, I'll let ...
Best dinghy anchor | SailNet Community
2025年1月14日 · Apparently there was/is a Wayfarer Mark IV designed by Phil Morrison in 2007 that may not have the Lazarette. Most of the Ian Proctor designed Wayfarers built between 1957-2007 had Lazarettes. Given that the sail number is over 10 000 on the image above, guessing that might be one of the Mark IVs built after 2007 primarily for racing.

Freedom 45 Center Cockpit - SailNet Community
2011年9月30日 · I didn't sail freedom 45, however I spent quite a lot of time on Freedom 36 (modern single mast boat) Latest generation of Freedoms from late 80-s to 2000 will sail well at any point. Also they better thought out boats than cheaper mass production boats of same era.
Passport 40 Review w/John Kretschmer | SailNet Community
2009年3月18日 · From a sail rig perspective, the Passport 40 was built to have an inner forestay. Our version doesn't have it, but over 50% of Passport 40's are "cutter" rigged. I put cutter in quotes since the measurements aren't quite spot-on for making it a cutter. Another radical difference in Passport 40's is the forward configuration.
Feathering propellers - SailNet Community
2006年7月13日 · My boat is 22,000 lbs and I have a 52 HP diesel and an 18 x 13 three blade conventional prop. It goes and stops just fine. I accept the very minor drag added by the locked prop while under sail and will not bandy words with naysayers concerning ridiculous drag figures and the greyhound-like speeds of boats with feathering props.
Seidelmann 25 - SailNet Community
2003年2月4日 · The sail set up is a 125 genoa 217 sq ft and a new main with a lowered boom (18") down. The current new main is at 215 sq ft. The rigging is standard basic and have modified tensions to accomodate the additional sail area. This craft is fully cockpit controlled for entire single handling with ease.
Alado Furler - SailNet Community
2014年11月13日 · A top swivel/halyard combination gives much better control over luff tension -- and therefore draft depth and location -- than an integral halyard furler. You can tighten or ease the halyard on the fly, on a loaded sail, w/out going forward and fussing with the unit. For people who care about sail shape, halyard tension is a big deal.
