(There are small regions where its different, but nearly the whole ocean stays at 35 ppt without any variation. Including nearly all reefs)

2022年8月8日 · So I got a Hanna Salinity Tester which by default is in ppt and the calibration packets are by ppt but can also measure by S.G.. Now, I heard that ppt is a more accurate measurement (correct me if I'm wrong) since it's based solely on salt, while S.G. factors in temperature (which gets confusing for me to be quite honest).

2020年5月31日 · Personal preference I guess, or they have some reef inhabitants that require a lower salinity. There's not really any wrong answer. I like to run my tank @ 35ppt (1.0265) and others will run in a range from 33-34 (1.0249 to 1.0256).
