Samuel Hunter Bennett (born June 20, 1996) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Bennett was rated by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau as the top North American prospect for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, where he was selected fourth overall by the Calgary Flames.

He was asked about Sam Bennett and the Florida Panthers and what those negotiations have been looking like.

Bennett is looking to make the leap to the NHL in 2015-16. He has just 12 NHL games under his belt, 11 of which came in the postseason. But he’s a blue-chip prospect with speed, smarts, and an elite net-front presence, and at this point, he’s proven he’s too good for junior hockey.
