The San Joaquins runs multiple times daily between the San Francisco Bay Area (or Sacramento) and Bakersfield, where Amtrak Thruway buses connect you to great Southern California destinations. Other stops along the way include Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Martinez and Fresno.

The San Joaquins is a passenger train service operated by Amtrak in California's San Joaquin Valley. Seven daily round trips run between its southern terminus at Bakersfield and Stockton , with onward service to Sacramento (two round trips) and Oakland (five round trips).

Connection between train and bus at Stockton San Joaquin Street Station. Daily Train 792 operates 45-50 minutes later at this station. On Saturdays and Sundays, Thruway bus operates 10-15 minutes later at this station. Bus meets train at Stockton and discharges passengers at other Stockton station 10-15 minutes after train arrival.
