2022年12月26日 · Ive spent 1 week on Sao Miguel and felt like that was just enough time to see and explore many things. Spent 6 days on Terceira and felt like 5 would have probably been enough. Spent 1 day on Pico and could have easily been 4-5 days. Spent 3 days on Faial and felt like 2 days would have been enough.

2024年1月17日 · Hello! It was excellent. After having gone I 100% recommend getting a car in Sao Miguel - it is the only way to truly explore the whole island on your own time. The driving in some areas can be difficult due to narrow winding roads, and they can get quite dark at times at night. But I’d definitely recommend it.

2021年1月4日 · Plus Azores required testing before accessing the islands, mandatory masks everywhere. There were much less tourists (almont none, as you can see from the pictures) and crowds than mainland Portugal. We booked that trip back in January and we were lucky we got the condition to travel kinda safely in August, when cases were low in number.

Considering we've got 9 islands spanning 337mi of the Atlantic ocean, damn good. Every one of those islands including the smallest, has at least 1 public health center. There are 3 hospitals, Faial, Terceira and São Miguel. Considering that São Miguel has half the population of the archipelago, it also has the most comprehensive and diverse care.

2023年9月5日 · Sao Miguel is top of my list so far as it ticks all the boxes in terms of; cost and quality of living, geographical location etc. But I'm still on the fence re the climate.. I keep getting conflicting reports about the weather and it's effects on quality of life eg that the high humidity causes issues because it can produce general clamminess.
