Mar 24, 2024 · 12 days - Terceira, Sao Miguel, and what other island? Partner and I are doing 12 days in Azores this September. Somehow it is significantly quicker and cheaper to fly direct from Toronto into Terceira and then out of Ponta Delgada back to Toronto.

Jun 24, 2023 · For context, we are from the U.S. We also went to Italy and Croatia during our time because we wanted to see other parts of Europe, but in hindsight I wish we would have stayed in the Azores for the whole trip because there was so much to see.

Aug 10, 2022 · I’m about to leave for my third trip to the Azores (first time to another island other than Sao Miguel). From US. Absolutely great for kids. Hikes are not too strenuous and the views are amazing. There are sooooo many miradouro’s which are basically little parks or pull-offs from the road to see the magnificent views.

Jul 5, 2022 · So if you just chose to stay/spend most of your time in the town center, you’d still have plenty nature-related things to do and see. I can’t say the same for Ponta Delgada. But if you choose Sao Miguel and you want to be surrounded by beautiful nature, I recommend staying somewhere like Furnas, not PD. Anyway, enjoy the Azores (or Madeira)!

Dec 26, 2022 · Ive spent 1 week on Sao Miguel and felt like that was just enough time to see and explore many things. Spent 6 days on Terceira and felt like 5 would have probably been enough. Spent 1 day on Pico and could have easily been 4-5 days. Spent 3 days on Faial and felt like 2 days would have been enough.
