Her art draws heavily from historical art movements, particularly Fauvism, Cubism, and Abstract Expressionism. Awad’s unique approach to the female nude challenges traditional narratives, incorporating elements from critical periods in art history where modernism and abstraction intersected with figurative art.

My research interests are in the interrelation between the fields of cultural psychology, communication, and social development. I explore the processes by which individuals develop through times of life ruptures and social change using art and storytelling.
