It just doesn't get a long with my large fat dumb hands in any grip. So if any of you folks have a Squire Line Knightly Type XII and you'd rather have the Type H Viking... let's trade.

As far as I know it came into the family in the late 19th century in New Zealand during the colonial wars, around 1860. I think it is an 1821 pattern sabre, but I would love to know who manufactured it and possibly when.

2008年11月22日 · Some details about the sword: - Overall the sword is in very good shape (the scabbard has been scuffed up however) - At the base of the blade the words "Gebr: Weyersberg in Solingen" are written in script - The sword is "39" inches from end to end. The blade itself is "33.5" inches long. Thanks for your help, - Jeff
