2007年1月24日 · I agree with Emma's comments (except that as I said I wouldn't say "say hi to him from me") - and in response to your specific question, Thomas, I would say that I can't think of a context in which "greet him from me" would work. I think it would have to be "for" even if "greet" were appropriate in a given context.

2010年10月26日 · "Hi" is informal, whilst "Sir" or "Madam" is formal. No-one will be offended if you put the two together, but it will sound wrong. If you're going to use "Sir" or "Madam", I would suggest you use "Hello" with it instead.
