What do I do if my drive reports bad sectors - SeagateSupport [also shown on page 8 of the pdf manual]. Since SeaTools for DOS is now a legacy product, I think the answer to your question is to use SeaTools for Windows.

2008年11月20日 · I booted to Seatools, ran the full drive self test, which identified a few dozen bad blocks, and offered to fix them. It took less than a second to fix, and since then the Event viewer errors went away, and subsequent short DST tests have passed. I also ran a full CHKDSK for good measure.

2023年10月2日 · “Fix All Fast” uses the drive's activity logs to identify suspicious sectors which may or may not be bad. SeaTools goes to each one in the list and if it really is bad the program will try to reallocate that one sector. If successful SeaTools moves on to the next if not successful then the test fails. On average the time is less than 5 minutes.
