Sequoiadendron giganteum (also known as the giant sequoia, giant redwood, Sierra redwood or Wellingtonia) is a species of coniferous tree, classified in the family Cupressaceae in the subfamily Sequoioideae.

2025年2月22日 · Located in Sequoia National Park, this giant sequoia fell across the road to Crescent Meadow in 1937 and the tunnel was cut the following year to allow cars to pass through. It is currently the only giant sequoia one can drive through.
