The State Emergency Service Awareness Badge was initially introduced into Western Australia in 2017. In 2019, this badge became available for all youth members in Australia to complete. It aims to raise awareness of the role the State Emergency Service has within the community and build emergency resilience and preparedness in our youth members.

SES Badge BADGE REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUTH MEMBERS: Scout Requirements – 11 years to before turning 15 years • Visit a SES Unit or have a SES Unit visit the Scout Unit • Demonstrate getting home storm ready with photo evidence • Demonstrate skills in using some hand and power tools • Learn new knots
SASES - Scouts SA - SES Awareness Badge
In South Australia, the SES Awareness Badge, is a youth scout “My Identity” badge that is to be worn on the ‘’Additional Awards’’ section on the right sleeve of a youth scout after they have successfully completed all requirements for the badge.
SES Badge BADGE REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUTH MEMBERS: Venturer Scout Requirements – from 14 years until after turning 18 years • Join a SES Unit or SES Cadets as part of the Venturer Award scheme for a minimum of 6 months Or • Visit a SES Unit or have a SES Unit visit the Venturer Unit or attend an information night

SES Uniform Badge - EXURBIA
SES Uniform Badge earned through engagement with the SES. The requirements for each section will vary and details can be found on the Scouts Australia site. Once a youth member has completed the requirements for their section, their leader can purchase and present the badge.
