The MP5 Shadow is a meme gun inspired by the video game Shadow the Hedgehog. The manual of arms in the game suggests that the weapon is actually pump-action rather than being a closed bolt weapon with a cocking handle.

The gun is fully automatic with a 20-round capacity while used by Shadow. The opening title sequence of the game shows Shadow a much more detailed MP5; in this cutscene, Shadow rather infamously cocks the weapon by pumping its handguard like a pump-action shotgun, with the handguard even visibly moving during the animation.

2022年4月20日 · Having a more thorough look at the CG opening, and only sense I can make of it is that there's an extra mp5sd like handguard that's attached to the charging handle. Either that or Shadows hands are big enough that to operate it while handguard is just some poorly attached rubber grip that slides up and down.

2019年1月8日 · Random fact: The SMG in Shadow the Hedgehog is the Heckler & Koch MP5A3. The one Shadow uses in the intro seems to be a custom one as he needed to pump it similar to a pump-action shotgun to charge it.

In Shadow the Hedgehog Flash, the Sub Machine Gun is a weapon usable by Shadow the Hedgehog. The Sub-Machine Gun is modeled after the Heckler & Koch MP5, judging from the select fire markings and the overall design of the gun.
