The Port of Shanghai is a critically important transport hub for the Yangtze River region and the most important gateway for foreign trade. 2015年6月4日 · Yangshan Deepwater Harbour is the biggest container port in the world right now, having bypassed Singapore recently. On the way to the port from Shanghai, you pass over the Donghai Bridge, (length 20.2 miles) , the arrive at a visitors' centre with bathrooms , a model of the port, and a cafe that was closed when I was there.

The Donghai Bridge spans the Hangzhou Bay’s northern part and connects Xiaoyangshan Island in Zhejiang Province with the Luchaogang Town in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area. It connects the Yangshan Deepwater Port to the mainland. In August 2019, the Port of Shanghai was named the ‘best-connected port in the world.’
