Shimano Expride Owners...your favorite model? - Fishing Rods, …
Jan 20, 2020 · It's been great...paired with a Shimano Curado 70, EXTREMELY light and plenty sensitive...been doing a lot of bank fishing, lots of trees and obstacles, so have been favoring my shorter 6' IMX-Pro which I love, but any time the longer rod makes sense, I choose the Expride. As another user said, excellent T-Rig rod, great feel for the bottom.

JDM metanium shallow vs Metanium 20 - Bass Fishing Resource …
Jan 7, 2025 · The Shimano 22 shallow edition is a 100 Metanium. It has an aluminum main gear. It has a Yumeya custom spool that has tuned braking to facilitate casting 3/16 to 3/8. It is not a BFS reel unless you call 1/8 to 3/8 BFS. In fact I’ve taken my shallow spool out and popped it straight into my late model metanium 100 HG and it fits and works the ...
Reels that I recommend, 2025 Edition | Michigan Sportsman Forum
Jan 5, 2025 · The Shimano SLX is essentially a Curado with a different color scheme and a few less bearings. Functionally, they are the same and come with the same gear ratios and line capacity. As for the Fuego CT, that too is a stripped down upmarket model; a Tatula CT without the T-Wing and short a couple of handle bearings.
My introduction to BFS | Michigan Sportsman Forum
Dec 6, 2023 · late last summer the subject of BFS suddenly took interest in me. I took tackle recommendations of the KastKing Zephyr BFS reel paired with the Shimano Sensilite casting rod with a spec of 4-15 lb power pro braid and 1/16 to ¼ oz baits. Curado DC 150 vs 200 - Bass Fishing Resource Guide
Mar 11, 2024 · It is possible Shimano simply renamed the 200 DC to a 150 DC to reflect the capacity like they did with the Scorpion 150 MGL. Daiwa did something similar with the old Tatula reels and renamed the old 100 to a 150 HD when the newest 100 at the time had less capacity than the old 100 they sought to re-release as an HD reel.
Shimano Curado 200 M vs Curado 150 MGL - Bass Fishing …
Dec 19, 2024 · I have had the K, and own the DC, 200M and 150mgl. I regret selling my K reels as I really liked them. I feel like Shimano reels have always palmed well, the best to me. The 200 M is as awesome as the K was, but it is a touch wider. To me it’s a non issue.

Shimano 200E7 - opinions? - Bass Fishing Resource Guide
Aug 27, 2019 · The 200E7 Curado is an exceptional reel. Depending on the price and condition, they could be a good buy. The biggest issue with them is the resell value of the E series are very high so make sure they are a fair deal and what you want.
Shimano Chronarch vs Metanium - Bass Fishing Resource Guide
May 2, 2018 · Don't own the Met, but I do have a "plastic" Chronarch MGL 8.1:1 LOL and it is an incredible reel. Very, very smooth and effortless to cast. In full disclosure, I normally do not spend this much on a reel, but gift cards prevailed. I hope no one from Shimano reads this threat.
