2024年9月11日 · I just picked up an Sig Cross in 277 Fury and impressed with the 150 gr Accubond box ammo hitting 3000 fps with recoil feeling lighter than a .308 shooting the same grain bullet about 200 fps slower. At some point I hope Sig releases just the 6.8x51 upper, not looking to spend another $4k. Sorry if this is long winded, just wanting to share.

2024年3月13日 · Sig is apparently releasing the Spear (not the limited edition version that was released a while back) in .277 and there will be a new Cross in .277 as well, within the year (from Sig's own mouth, see vid below). Pressure has been lowered to 70,000psi and the Cross barrels are being nitrided to prevent premature wear.

SAAMI approved the specs last year and I haven't found any discussions about reloading dies or ammunition hitting the market. You can buy .277 Sig Fury chamber reamers and brass but no reloading dies.

I have listened to all of the podcasts and scrubbed the forums for info on shooting the .277 Fury, but all of it was completely speculative information, not from functional use.

I expect more than a few will find use with SF of various persuasions.

It is not the exact military load because, presumably, the military load will use a steel tipped bullet similar to the M855A1/M80A1. The Army owns the patent and refuses to allow their sale to civilians. But it is still a high pressure round nonetheless.
