Simon Yam Tat-wah (Chinese: 任達華; born 19 March 1955) is a Hong Kong actor and film producer. He is best known for his performances in films such as PTU (2003), Election (2005), SPL: Sha Po Lang (2005), Triangle (2007), Sparrow (2008), Night & Fog (2009), and Echoes of the Rainbow (2010).

Simon Yam is a Hong Kong actor and photographer. Before joining the TVB Artiste Training Course, Wah worked as a salesperson and model. He made his TV debut in the drama series "CID". Like many other TV superstars, he, after becoming a household name, stepped onto the silver screen and, in 1979, appeared in "Law Don".

In 2019 in the city of Zhongshan, during a China promotional event, Simon Yam was assaulted by an attacker who stabbed him in the chest and slashed his arms. The security guards arrested the attacker and Simon Yam was taken to the hospital until he made a full recovery.
