SRB (previously SIRB) refers to a document issued by the Administration to all Filipino seafarers and cadets/cadettes that serves as a record of the holder’s sea service on-board ships of 3 SGT and above for commercial vessels and 50GT and higher for fishing vessels.

2018年10月26日 · MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Starting 05 November 2018, Filipino seafarers are directed to set an online appointment for the processing of their Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB) or seaman’s book, as the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) officially launched the SIRB Online Appointment System today, 26 October 2018.

The SIRB is a seafarer’s identity document issued for the purpose of providing the holder with identity papers for travel to or from an assigned vessel.

Since November 2019, they already stopped producing our Seafarer’s Identification and Record Book (SIRB) as you can see in the online appointment MISMO. What they are issuing today are the Seafarers’ Identity Document (SID) and Seafarers’ Record Book (SRB).
