2018年5月27日 · There's a Sire Club with about 500 pages of information, I would definitely recommend reading through the posts if you have any questions or to allay any concerns about purchasing the bass ( I for one did, as I don't normally buy a bass I haven't tried first) 547 pages of comments helped put my mind at ease.

2021年5月29日 · Odd. Any 2nd gen Sire V7 or P7 I read about had integrated pots and circuit board. Bought one for my P7 to have a spare since I stripped threads on one pot. Definitely integrated, except without looking, I recall the switch and volume/tone pot was not physically part of the circuit board.

2024年5月13日 · My Sire P7 5’er (Gen 2) is leagues better, build quality excellent, the neck and playability really good plus goodies such as rolled edge finger board, through body stringing, bone nut, active/passive switching etc.

2022年3月8日 · Looking at adding a Sire bass to my arsenal. Toss up between a 4 string P5 alder or a 4 string P7 alder. I already own a 5 String Fender Marcus Miller Jazz, so looking for something smaller (as in 4 strings, unless you can convince me otherwise to go for a 5 string p5/P7) to fill in the punk rock (blink 182, green day, killers, fall out boy) space.

2010年3月3日 · the sire basses seem to give more head room cause of the 18v preamp, and they have a huge tonal range. there are high end models to both companies however, and build quality and tone will depend slightly on which model of course.

2010年3月11日 · Recently picked up my sire P7 5-er after not playing it for some time. Just changed out the tuning keys to some UltraLites. I'm debating a pickup swap as well. For those that have the stock pickups, what is your pickup height adjusted to? I'm typically a 4-string player, so I'm having a bit of trouble finding a good height with the 5 string.

2008年11月30日 · In the market for an active PJ. Narrowed it down to either the Yamaha BB734a, or the Sire P7. Which would you choose, and why? Part of me leans towards the nifty engineering of the BB734a (angled neck screws, angled body through, sandwich neck laminate, sandwich body layers), but I know the Sires are very well regarded.

2013年7月19日 · I purchased two 2nd gen, 5-string Sire basses recently, an M7 and a P7. The M7 is terrific! The P7 bass was advertised as having the Marcus Heavy Mass STD bridge, but the one I received has an "El-Cheapo" rolled bridge.
