2022年9月13日 · "Skramz" was a joke term on a message board from a guy regarded as a quasi-troll and I can't believe it's taken off unironically. It didn't even exist in the 90s. "Screamo" dates back to about 1997 but it wasn't all that widespread until the 21st century. Most of the bands from the 90s referred to themselves as just hardcore.

Heroin and Indian Summer can be called skramz, Screamo, or emocore; although I don’t really see them as Screamo/skramz since they’re more like early emo bands that influenced Screamo (proto screamo?) especially considering they lack some of the now defining traits of skramz.
