Gates are the doors between rooms, unlocked when a player defeats all of the enemies or bosses in a room. Different areas have different gate shapes. Note that the name "Gate" is unofficial, and was coined by a wiki editor.

First introduced in Update 2 Part 2, Portals are items that can be obtained by defeating every boss in any difficulty Infinite Mode with a 10% chance or by completing another player's portal. For the current Tokyo Incident Portal, it is at a 1% chance of obtaining it from killing a boss in the Ruined City Map Infinite Mode ( Any difficulty ).

The new patch has made damage into different types and it affects how quickly you can kill the enemies. Pro tip: If you get to the shop, almost always buy the dish that the shop ogre sells you. It's buff is permanent and lasts for 3-4 maps.

2023年12月28日 · What happens if you choose the left portal? At the end of the boss fight. Does it still progress the mirror rank or it's just a fancy abandon run button? Still progresses the Mirror. If you had a run where you barely skimmed by Dark Dad, or just don’t feel like fighting Alexander, you can just take the left portal.
