What LNB Do I Need for Sky Q? SkyQ requires a Wideband LNB which is different to the old Universal LNB used for Sky+ HD and Freesat. For most cases a Twin Output Wideband LNB is quite suitable for a Sky Q Receiver. Despite only having two outputs the Wideband LNB will give you full recording features that Sky Q offers.

It does this by alternating the voltage between 13V and 18V which will enable the LNB to switch between Horizontal and vertically polarised signals. A 22kHz tone then switches the LNB from a low and high band. Hence a quarter of the channels at any one time.

2024年9月1日 · You are correct that SKY Q uses a different LNB to the Freesat boxes & Tvs. The wideband LNBs that SKY Q uses, sends the full 'Wideband' set of frequencies down 2 separate cables - 1 for each polorisation (This method means all frequencies are available all the time meaning more tuners can be used to record)
