
In this paper a conceptual study on modification of the electric arc furnace (EAF) slag doors, in order to allow removal of the excess slag (ES) from the EAF, is performed. The idea of additional slag doors is to allow deslagging of the EAF in certain unfavorable conditions when the slag height is too great and extends over the arcs.
