2011年11月21日 · Well Mick I will partly answer your question by saying that most older Ithaca 37's will indeed fire upon returning to battery with the trigger held down (slam fire).Possibly some of the more knowledgeable folks can respond regarding model 97's,31's and 12's that i do not have experience with.

John Browning one of the worlds most noted gun inventors designed the Ithaca 37 to fire that way, but I guess some cost saving people at Ithaca thought their way was better and changed it. They should have left it alone, don't mess with a good thing.

2007年2月23日 · It would fire the next shot after cycling and fully chambering and locking the bolt as long as you held the trigger down and pumped the action. The Model 37 Ithica would too. That isn't slam fire, even though folks sometimes describe it as such. Slamming the action shot in and of it's self does not fire the Model 12 on closing.
