John Browning one of the worlds most noted gun inventors designed the Ithaca 37 to fire that way, but I guess some cost saving people at Ithaca thought their way was better and changed it. 2007年2月23日 · It would fire the next shot after cycling and fully chambering and locking the bolt as long as you held the trigger down and pumped the action. The Model 37 Ithica would too. That isn't slam fire, even though folks sometimes describe it as such. Slamming the action shot in and of it's self does not fire the Model 12 on closing.

2022年9月7日 · Most of the new pump guns will not slam fire, if you want a pump gun that slam fires purchase an American Classic Winchester model 12. The older American Classic pump guns were able to Slam Fire, the new pump guns were made with out this ability unfortunately.

It is the design of these shotguns that they have this feature, nothing is broken, and it is something to be aware of, some shooters use it very well and others waste shots because of it.
