2013年5月12日 · I’m working on a 2007 IQ 600 CFI and starting to go through things to get it ready for next year and noticed a little bit of oil around the crank seal behind the flywheel. For those that have had these engines apart, is that a normal seal that can be changed from the outside or does it have a groove that sits inside the case?

2020年12月15日 · Found a used sled in good condition but the owner claims it needs crank seals. Havent laid eyes on it but I should be able to confirm by spraying some starter fluid down by the seals right?

2007年9月22日 · the PTO seal can be changed without splitting the case on ZL-ZR 5-600 sleds, pull the clutch, then the seal plate, pull old seal out, push new seal in and reassemble.

2015年12月13日 · I've done it many times on fuji twins, remove the clutch and flywheel/stator assembly...invert the engine and split the lower end to install the crank seals. Don't see any way thats easier.....that will work.:ermm:

2011年1月14日 · It is much easier to do the job on a work bench but since you have a mid-mount sled you could possibly do it on the sled. Here is link to an online service manual. It explains how to change the PTO (clutch side) seal. Use the same instructions to change the seal under the flywheel. http://www.vintagesnow.com/John_Deere_files/sm2100.pdf

2005年2月27日 · It depends on the sled. The older 650 Polaris motors had a plate on the pto side that could be removed that had the seal in it. A person could take the plate off remove the seal put a new seal in and reinstall the plate. Most motors will have to be removed from the chassis to change the seals.

2020年4月2日 · Noticed a small amount of oil around my crank seal when I took my primary off. Sled is a 2020 850 Khaos with 400 miles. Is it typical to see a small amount of oil seep through the seal or am I possibly looking at a bigger problem. The liquid is water in the belly pan used to remove the clutch.
