Dec 13, 2022 · Those can slow down a laptop. Usual stuff : Uninstall things you don't need or use. Stop things running at startup that you don't need. Run disk cleanup included with Windows. I would check every of my tasks that are running and what is "throttling", then if that isn't helping here are some things to consider.

I spent money on a X1 xtreme hoping to get a good quality and fast laptop, but it has a shitty software/firmware. Bluetooth and wifi mutually interference. Suddenly goes to sleep in the middle of teams meeting (!)

Aug 8, 2018 · I'm seeing the same problem on a Lenovo X1 Carbon 20KG (6th gen) with an i5-8350 right now. 16GB RAM, 500GB SSD. Clean-booted and running on external power, just opening the start menu takes twice as long as it does on the Fujitsu U748 that I have running next to it, and that machine only has an i5-8250 CPU (other specs are similar).

We already changed the box once, but it’s getting progressively worse

Sep 21, 2021 · Since installation, using Xfinity via the X1 box is excruciatingly slow. Loading Disney+, Netflix, or Paramount+ takes 60+ seconds just to get to the "home" screen. Then, trying to select anything forces you to wait a few seconds for a button click on the remote before it actually happens on the screen.
