Despite these few hiccups, I found Sly 4 to be really enjoyable and it's my favourite game in the series now. Usually when a fanbase has a collective negative opinion on a game I can understand the logic behind it, but not with this game. So with that being said, I must ask. Why is Sly 4 generally considered to be the worst game in the series?

Personally, I feel that the project of Sly 4 just wasn't taken seriously. The characters that we already know, Sly's ancestors, and the villains all felt too goofy. Yes, Sly has always been a little comical, but not to the point where it's almost childish as portrayed in Sly 4. 2022年5月8日 · Sly 1 was sort of out there compared to the rest of the series but it really set the groundwork for the movement in the games. Sly 2 evolved on the mechanics, polishing up sly's movement a bit, reworking how abilities are equipped, and pretty much completely restructuring gameplay flow in the open world.

2023年3月7日 · There is a funny dialogue scene where Sly has to pickpocket keys from a set of armed guards and Winthrop is fuming at the fact that Sly can still employ illegal action even though he's technically an officer of the law. Eventually after collecting the keys you are able to advance into the casino which is CRAWLING with armed guards.

Sly 4 was made only for the sake of "we want a new Sly game". Sanzaru didn't understand characters at all, Sly can't take anything seriously, Bentley whines about Sly joking around, but proceeds to joke himself ALL THE TIME.

2021年9月7日 · Sly 1 on the other hand has been playable since 2018. Velocity also fixed the black character outlines on all Sly games when using resolution scaling. IMPORTANT: All Sly games require RPCS3's Frame limiter set to 60fps. Sly 1-3 speed up when FPS goes over 60, and Sly 4 has inconsistent button input registration above 60fps.

2023年4月28日 · Sly 4 feels way more focused since this game takes the approach of having less variety in the different gameplay types but in return you get more complexity and variation on the core gameplay. This game was able to introduce gameplay elements like slowing down time or shooting enemies and objects with a revolver.
