2017年4月8日 · we used a new holland 66 that was converted to use a tractor pto instead of the motor on top the baler. paid 400 for baler and side delivery hay rake the both worked good. about every 20 bales it might miss a knot on the left side, not bad for a baler made when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. we baled about 20 or so acres with it.

2017年4月12日 · My first baler was a used MF #10 I bought in 1972, then a MF 124 which made the #10 look like a toy. The local MF dealer went out of business so I bought a new Hesston 4600, beeline baler, in the 1980's which made the 124 look like a toy. Still have the 4600, bought a couple other 4600's cheap, one was good one more problems.

2016年10月31日 · I've run a 273 for the last couple of years and am pleased with it. If I made enough hay to afford one I would look for an inline baler. I know Massey/Hesston and Case made/make them. A bit more expensive then the older NH but the inline's run in the upper 90's in strokes per minute where the 273 runs at 71 (or 73) strokes per minute.

I do have a parts baler standing by if I ever need a part that's no longer available. Whatever you get just maintain it and be smart when using and you shouldn't have many issues.

2017年9月27日 · Looking at the parts book page for the 444 baler ram/plunger (page 84 of the link), I am wondering if the stationary knife was meant to have shims under it from the factory. I noticed that the ram knife shims (item #6, two part numbers listed) have no quantity listed and say use as required in the description.

2016年5月25日 · X2 on the square knot and trim the tails close. Then rub it between your hands some on a square baler, I don't have trouble with just a trimmed square knot on a roller. A square knot is the only knot that I have ever found that will hold. But you will still occasionally have one not tie on a square baler.

2018年8月6日 · And our damn baler once in a while grabs a twine as soon as it starts, or doesn't cut it off right, and you have half a spool of twine wound up in the bale. That's fun to pull out when it's 15 below and the wind is blowing down your neck. Last year, we had peas and oats wrapped. Some baled with our twine baler, some with the hired guy's net ...
