I put a new battery in it but none of the buttons will work ,however if I have the key fob on my person I can manually unlock the doors by pressing the center button on the door handle and also manually open the trunk and sitting inside of car the engine will start as normal.

But even if it is perfectly fine, you will have to take it, your current key, and your car to the dealership to be reprogrammed. they can't just reprogram 1 key, and they have to have the car. 2.

2014年6月21日 · For some odd reason, the car alarm will go off on its on. Windows are up, door closed, no one outside at all, no wind, no aminals, and no sign what so ever of anything. The battery on the car is fully charged since its only been in my possesion for 3months now. The smart key sits on my dresser in my bedroom so its not like im pressing the button.

2006年11月6日 · Apparently the smart key systems for either Toyota or Lexus do not share the same name, but I'm going to assume they really are the same systems. In a Prius, you just need to have the key in your pocket to press the start button, and when you park you simple press the button again to turn the car off. Probably the same deal with a Lexus.
