2017年7月29日 · As for going SOCS-C as a reservist I'd heard from one of the guys in Fort Stewart that they had a reservist who'd switch to active. I don't know how accurate this was since I didn't meet him it's possible there was much more to the story and probably a ton of paperwork but I'll look into it further and let you know if I find anything.

2014年11月10日 · SOCS-C not the same as Recon Comm for many reasons. The biggest being that Recon Communicators for the most part attend the same pipeline and right of passage as the team guys as well as follow on schools. The same can definitely not be said for SOC-Cs. Recon Comm guys would be more the equivalent of the COMM CSOs on an MSOT than the SOC-Cs.

2015年6月24日 · I'm not disregarding a SOC-C is replaceable or irrelevant but it's not a point of failure at the team level. It is a company level asset, but is mission enhancing to a team to take a good bit of the burden off the shoulders of an MNOC guys to focus on other responsibilities.

2008年12月29日 · I am a 2841, radio and ground transmissions maintenance. I considered SOCS-C but I have not really thought about recon. I'd rather go to A&S and not get selected than extend my already long contract and go back into this MOS. I guess I'm just really jaded of what the comm community looks like because of my unit.
