Special Operations Executive (SOE) was a British organisation formed in 1940 to conduct espionage, sabotage and reconnaissance in German-occupied Europe and to aid local resistance movements during World War II.

64 Baker Street is a commercial property in Baker Street, central London. It was the address of the headquarters of the Special Operations Executive. The building was completed in the first half of the 20th century and, after becoming part of the Government estate, was let to the Prison Commission. [1] .

SOE’s principal headquarters was at 64 Baker Street in London; as the war progressed, it took over many more buildings in surrounding streets. Training and holding schools were also established for the preparation of candidates recruited as prospective agents.

This target was probably erected during World War II for use by SOE agents training at nearby Glasnacardoch House. 2013年2月2日 · SOE agents were taught a series of secret signs that could be inserted in their messages in order to warn HQ that they had been captured and were under German control. Usually these were spelling mistakes at a prearranged point.
