2020年11月11日 · DAC only into my Studio 45 Custom. Scales like mad with Sennheisers. Amazing synergy - could have been lucky in this sense. Currently using with XLR outs, will try SE outs later. HP out as an AIO would be easy enough to assess. I'm still getting a feel for the sound of the DAC. TBH, it's very hard to describe, which IMO is good thing.

I was/am agnostic about the DAC technology, however there is no denying R2R measures more poorly than typical delta sigma. I was particularly interested in its FPGA filtering capabilities for crossover duties.

2020年11月11日 · My dinosaur DAC SFD2 just destroys Soekris in in terms of both macro and microdynamics and resolve while Soekris having the upper hand in clarity/blackground and maybe a bit in the transients. My 2 channel chain: W10 Roon Server/HQPlayer > LAN > PI2AES w SoTM SPS-500 PSU > AES > Soekris 2541 > HEED Obelisk SI MK3 > Harbeth P3ESRXDs + REL T7i As reported elsewhere in this thread, the 2541 is a very pleasing DAC.
