Opinions wanted on pickguard for Sonic Blue - Telecaster Guitar …
2016年2月15日 · Sonic Blue is a color that's shifted a lot. The 60's Baja and 60's Strat from Fender have a "faded" sonic blue that's very, very light...which I also like (I painted a Precision Bass I have that color). I've found that "normal" sonic blue varies a bit. This fits within that spectrum moreso than Daphne....but they're not worlds apart.
Nitro refin - Fiesta Red or Sonic Blue - Telecaster Guitar Forum
2009年3月30日 · I hate this so much. Im ready to refinish my classic player 60s strat. right now its in sonic blue polyester. i hate this plastic finish, its so hard and shiny. I love the look of the vintage strats like john frusciante that show their scratches in the nitro finish. I tried biting my strat and it didnt even leave a mark.
Looking for pic of Sonic Blue w/ mint pickguard
2010年1月26日 · Trying to decide if I should go with a mint green (white) pick guard on the sonic blue strat I am building. Rosewood fretboard. I will be using the old style darker sonic blue, not the newer pale one. I'd like to see a photo of yours if you have one.
Ry Cooder's Original Blue Strat/Coodercaster - Telecaster Guitar …
2020年12月4日 · Oh man, a mid-60s Strat reissue with matching large headstock and fingerboard binding is one of my bucket list guitars! Preferably in surf green or sonic blue. I read somewhere that Brad Whitford of Aerosmith also has (or had) an original one of those Strats probably from the same run that Cooder's came from. I wonder what finish his was/is.

As is my strat. For some reason sonic blue seems to be the shape shifter of the color world. Maybe that’s why, in my opinion, it’s the coolest of colors.
New here! Sonic Blue!! - Telecaster Guitar Forum
2020年4月17日 · Sonic blue is a pretty color, but it does range from baby blue/powder blue to a very pale shade that is almost a white - plus some of the pale version of the color is "aged", so with a yellowed top coat it can look a bit greenish-blue as well. The only sonic blue I've owned was a 2013 special run American Standard Strat done for Guitar Center ...
Good and sometimes better things come to those who persevere.
2024年10月30日 · I once owned a 1961 Sonic Blue strat, and as a dumb teenager I sold it. I have been chasing that guitar for the last 3 decades. Can't spend 20-30 grand for a real replacement. I did have our very own preeb build one, and it is fantastic. …
Sonic Blue Vs. Daphne Blue - Telecaster Guitar Forum
2012年12月15日 · Back in the 60's Sonic Blue was a pale baby blue, while Daphne Blue had a drop of green in it - a sort of aqua or a light turquoise. Today it can be real confusing though, with very little consistency. These CS guitars are close to the original 60's colors as I …
Mighty Mite Swamp Ash vs Eden Guitars Paulownia Tele Bodies?
2015年2月28日 · Daphne, Sonic, Surf, and Seafoam can all be pretty hard colors to pinpoint. I have 2 Sonic Blue Strat bodies (One Classic Player 60s and a Blacktop). When I put a white pickguard on either of them, I would swear they were a light green. If I put a mint green pg on, they begin to look blue again!
How rare were optional colour telecasters in the late sixties?
2024年2月3日 · Sonic Blue will always be a sore subject for me. Slightly tangental, but back when I was in high school in the early/mid 1980s, I bought a '64 Sonic Blue Strat from a friend of my guitar teacher's for either $2100 or 2300; transition logo/August '64 neck, serial number in the L40000 range, greened-out guard, white case with black …
