There are difference in color rendition as well.

2023年2月8日 · The Sigma 20mm 1.4 is far better lens than the Samyang 24mm 1.8 for astrophotography. The Sigma has an outstanding coma control at 1.4 in the extreme corners, the lens was designed for that.

Center at f/2.8: Both lenses improve but the Sony 20/1.8 G is still slightly ahead Center at f/4: Both improve slightly and I'd say they are similar now

My Batis 25 does a wonderful job for landscapes, doesn't greatly distort people and can handle a polarizing filter without too many color variations in shots that include skies.

2020年8月18日 · As of today I do have a 24-105 G as well as a 100-400 GM (and primes 351.8, 55 1.8, 85 1.8 for my people shots) and am satisfied with my setup. However, sometimes when I am out in the nature I miss a wider lens for landscapes. One year ago I would have simply bought the Batis, but the new 20 1.8 G is also a great lens.

The zoom at f2.8 has less field curvature at f2.8 than the 20G at f2.8, corners are a bit better at that focal length otherwise shows comparable sharpness at all apertures.

2023年8月6日 · I'm rather shocked that no one has brought up the Samyang 24mm F/1.8 AF. It actually outperforms the Sony 20mm F/1.8 G. The acuity of the Samyang is above any of the lenses mentioned in this thread. I understand everyone has their personal preference. Some will prefer the build quality as well as the handling of the CV or the ZL.
