2006年4月19日 · I spoke to an engineer that I know and he said that Sony has a service menu limit on the contrast so that the tube isn't overdriven. He said that it should be ok to have the contrast set at 100%. To be honest, the picture only has a decent contrast when it is nearly set at the maximum limit, and this is very noticeable with the Star Wars trilogy.

2019年2月2日 · I have a 2004 Sony Grand Wega KDF-55XS955 TV, with matching Sony TV stand. The issue I am having is that the display or screen constantly flickers from black to picture (very quickly) and when the screen flickers back to the picture, there seems to be multiple images of the same display rendered, offset to being square on the screen.
