Original total of 34 SP/SSW units, numbered in two groups; SP 7240-7247 and SSW 7248-7273; 32 units went to UP at merger; SP retired two units (SSW 7258 and 7267) prior to the merger. Due to production schedule difficulties and delayed financial arrangements, these two groups of former SP and SSW units suffered a mix up of frames while being built.
