FabLab SP, established in 2011 through collaboration among SP's engineering and maritime schools, focuses on transforming students into self-directed learners with technical expertise and safety awareness. It emphasizes hands-on training using cutting-edge digital fabrication technology and fosters community and industry connections.

FabLab SP aims to develop and transform SP student to a graduate who is a self-directed learner equipped with deep technical skills and sound knowledge of safety consciousness. It encourages hands-on training using cutting-edge technology in the field of digital fabrication.

FabLab SP was established and began its operations in 2011 as a result of collaboration among SP's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering (MAE), and Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA).

SP's SAFE Framework. Support and engage students on safety & health issues in campus. Act on 4 main focus areas: Risk Management Capability, Incident-Accident Reporting, Training & Education on WSH, Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan; Facilitate emergency drill, in-house training/workshops and outreach programme.

Located at the Engineering Block of T14, the lab houses most of the 3D printers, PCB milling and soldering stations for your prototyping needs.

The FAB LAB SP is itself a didactic space for experimenting and researching within the FAU and the São Paulo University (USP) which is opened to other schools of USP and even to the community, through the extension activities promoted in the digital fabrication laboratory.

SP Fablab was finally opened from 8 June 2020 after 2 months of closure due to Covid-19. The mechanical design was successfully 3-D printed and assembled. The details are on Noel's and Ting's individual pages. The result is as follow :
