The latest names given have been Starship and Superheavy as the names of the two individual stages with Starship being the generic name for both as well. Also, it's looking more and more like the LOX will be on the bottom instead of the top based on what folks are seeing at Boca Chica.

With 1000 cubic meters of pressurized space and 100 tons of capacity, 8-10 astronauts should have enough for a 6-7 month trip. Assuming an unmanned cargo Starship with essentials is sent to Mars ahead of time, I don't see a need to go from one Starship to another in space unless there is an emergency.

Both the booster and Starship have to keep their propellants in the operating temperature range for relatively long periods of time. It might make sense to put heat shield tiles, (tiles made of the same material as the heat shield tiles), under the bottom of the LOX tank to keep it cool.

Starship tiles are based on NASA TUFI (Toughened Unipiece Fibrous Insulation) which was patented in 1989 so the patent will have run out. In any case SpaceX will have access to the technology through a Space Act agreement with NASA. TUFI tiles were flown on Shuttle starting in 1994 but only on a few tiles in the highest temperature locations.
