If you are already employed for a longer time in the IT/Infosec business and have or aim for a leadership role, given sufficient talent and other resources, I'd go straight for the CISSP.

The study guide by Mike Wills, which is the one I have along with the accompanying practice questions book, or the all in one guide by Darril Gibson. The Mike Wills book I find to be a bit long winded and have found it hard to hold my interest. (That’s my excuse for stopping studying :)).
