Sauber Motorsport AG, currently competing in Formula One as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, and also known simply as Kick Sauber or Sauber, is a Swiss motorsport engineering company. It was founded in 1970 (as PP Sauber AG) by Peter Sauber, who progressed through hillclimbing and the World Sportscar Championship to reach Formula One in 1993.

Having enjoyed considerable success in world sportscars, where he helped nurture the emerging talents of future F1 stars Michael Schumacher and Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Peter Sauber guided his eponymous squad into F1 in 1993.

Ready to hustle harder: Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber unveils the C45

2023年12月15日 · Sauber will be rebranded as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber for the 2024 Formula 1 campaign, following the departure of their title sponsor Alfa Romeo. The Swiss team will operate under this banner for the next two seasons before rebranding as Audi in 2026 when they become the German manufacturer’s works squad.

Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber welcomes Jonathan Wheatley as Team Principal starting April 1, 2025. A highly respected leader in Formula One, Wheatley will make his debut at the Japanese Grand Prix, working alongside Mattia Binotto to guide the team through its transition to becoming the Audi F1 Factory team in 2026.

2024年3月22日 · Sauber Motorsport, currently competing as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, have been a Formula 1 team since 1993 but the outfit will become the factory Audi entry in 2026. German manufacturer Audi initially announced in August 2022 that it was joining F1 in 2026 when the series embraces new power unit regulations.

The Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber C45 is the latest contender developed by the Hinwil team, set to compete in the 2025 Formula 1 season. The car builds upon the platform of its predecessor, the C44, which showed a significant performance step during the final rounds of last season, aiming to continue the team’s upward trajectory.
