2022年11月7日 · It's canon that he knew Tails, but Knuckles? Probably not. Eggman would've already turned into Starved by the time of Sonic 2, and Sonic only met Knuckles in Sonic 3 & K, so Sonic would've died before he could meet Knuckles.
