2014年4月26日 · Sr5 is an electret and one of the better ones. Generally, it is considered 'below' the real electrostats from Stax, but it does have some good qualities to it. So, generally it'd be considered below hd800 too. I am sure they are pretty good, but there are likely better/different to be had from the vintage stats depending on your taste.

2017年8月4日 · My path to STAX was the 207s by way of the 2170 system. Sold it and now use the 304s, the 507s w the SRM-1 MK-2 and the 323 amp at times. Just fell in love with electrostatic sound and never looked back. Now looking to hear more of the vintage STAX and started w the SR-5. It's quite rewarding. Such great sound for so little money.

But I have never heard better definition or clarity from any headphone or speaker system (including my buddies $150k Wilson Alexandria Speakers!). $150 is a no brainer for a working pair.
