2017年11月8日 · The D850 seems better for overall nature photography, but the D5 better for some of my anticipated shooting situations. (High-ISO in low-light, and some extreme environments.) It does appear that the D850’s AF will suffice, being so very nearly equal. Buffer depth for a long series of images favors the D5, but is normally a non-issue for me.

2017年11月8日 · Steve Perry's review just made things a bit more challenging. His e-book is full of little quips. Makes me laugh. At 17:19 he puts up a supposed Nikon list of recommended lenses that Nikon considers "sharp enough" for the D850. He says these are limited only to lenses Nikon is currently selling. Strangely absent: any 50mm primes.

2017年11月8日 · Steve Perry made a point that the D850 really reveals any weaknesses in technique or vibration or movement. Hence my comment in post #15 above. Most photographers will benefit from improving their skills when using the D850. For moving wildlife/birds he recommends 1/3200 or even 1/4000.

2017年11月8日 · I'd be very interested in a 30-ish MP body that offers a significant AF performance improvement over my D610 while matching (or maybe even exceeding a bit) that body in dynamic range.
