This late-war production Karibiner 98k, built at the Steyr factory in Austria, was captured during the Second World War by an American soldier during the Battle of the Bulge. SN 1866. Peter Paul Mauser, the inventor of the Mauser bolt-action rifle and the youngest of thirteen children, was born on June 27, 1838 in Oberndorf, Germany.

The Steyr Model 1912 were Gewehr 98 pattern bolt-action battle rifles produced by Steyr before World War I. They were designed for export market. During the war, they were also used by the Austro-Hungarian Army.

2009年4月7日 · Some time back Netfotoj pointed us to some Mauser 98K rifles being sold by Mitchell's Mausers that were made by Steyr. The Mauser 98K was made by many manufacturers and the gun has quite a hobby behind it.

The MAUSER 98 action is regarded as the forefather of all modern bolt action rifles. Built in the millions, copied in the thousands, never matched. We have had the original for 125 years.

2015年3月7日 · It uses a turning bolt-action with a Mauser receiver, but still a clip and the magazine guard of the M.95 barrel and was chambered in the 8x56R caliber. The rifle was developed in 1930 by Steyr-Solothurn and was made due to the lack of reliability with M.95 and the stronger S caliber (8x56R).

2011年9月10日 · This is literally just a fantastic all original, unaltered and like new mid-WWII "bnz" Steyr factory "SS" contract k98 bolt rifle. These rifles were all produced in their own serial number range without any letter suffix and were manufactured specifically under contract for the "SS".
