2022年11月14日 · I've heard Stihl discontinued the MS880 chainsaw for emissions-compliance reasons and replaced it with the MS881. Supposedly it has the same HP and CC's. However, the MS880 was rated to pull a 59" bar, and the new version, the MS881 is only rated for a 41" bar.

2018年2月23日 · The ms881 might have some of what you said above in it we will only know how much when it hits the shelves I guess. But one thing is for certain even if only rated at a true 8 Hp the 881 will have way more power than a 2020 STOCK ms880 or 3120.

2018年12月3日 · As a milling saw is the 3120XP worth the saving over the MS881. The Oregon logging conference is happening on the 21st. Husqvarna had a good price on 3120xp last year, I didn't have enough to buy it but now I do. Or should just go with the Stihl MS881.

2022年3月19日 · Eventually went back to stihl for softer a.v. mounts from a stihl 880 They come shipped from stihl set up for .404 pitch only which isnt ideal for milling. Most milling chain is 3/8. Extremely stingy oiler: about 3 oz. of bar oil per 16ft long rip cut, oiler set to max. Positives: Seems to get stihl fan-boys all sorta excited. Great styling.

2016年2月21日 · My guess is the model will be an MS800i not MS881 inline with the fuel injected designation. The 880 is the oldest model now in the Stihl pro saw line up. It would be even better if they added another cube (MS900i) increased torque & horsepower and gave the milling/big wood sawyer's what they want.

2021年6月6日 · I thought strato saws have a separate butterfly above or below the carb for the fresh air charge. 881 doesn't have that. It does have a plastic divider in the manifold. Maybe I dont know what strato is. Watched a video from stihl on 2mix engine...
