News and discussion about Stowe, Vermont - Reddit
Hi, I'm looking to go to Stowe at the end of March for a week, and was wondering if anyone wants to do a housing swap. I live in South Beach in a beautiful 3 bdrm/ 3 bath apt in a large complex with 2 pools. Close to the beach and a great area. Looking for a large house in Stowe with at least 3 bedrooms. If you want to escape the snow, let me know!
Okemo, Stowe, or mount snow? : r/icecoast - Reddit
2021年10月28日 · Stowe is the furthest north and thus most likely to be the safest conditions wise. Vail has been incredibly slow rolling out Stowe’s terrain (not using full snowmaking potential) since they bought it. Very limited beginner terrain. Lord/North Slope/Gondolier/Perry Merril after first turn are all great long low intermediate trails.
Stowe trip - help an intermediate skier out : r/icecoast - Reddit
2023年2月1日 · I am heading to Stowe next weekend (ya we saw the weather 🥶). As an intermediate skier I know there are a lot of expert trails here and I find the blue rating a little unpredictable. I am trying to avoid huge headwalls or surprise steepness. I always make it down okay, just makes for a more stressful run than I enjoy.
Stowe vs Killington. : r/icecoast - Reddit
2022年3月12日 · If you do, Stowe might be worth checking out. But if you don't want to deal with the inconvenience of Vail, then better not go that route. I hear the roads are less steep approaching Killington and that there is less stop and go …
is skiing at Stowe worth it? : r/icecoast - Reddit
Love Stowe but I usually do Sunday -tuesday or Wednesday. I also love beer so I'm little biased towards Stowe with the Alchemist/von trapp being down the road + beer shop in Waterbury and most small stores carrying most of the surrounding breweries in VT. Also food choices are phenomenal in Stowe.
Advice for Stowe? : r/icecoast - Reddit
The sterling side of smuggs has a fair bit of natural snow trails so open terrain will seriously depend on snowfall. Jeffersonville has a couple shops, restaurants and places to stay but its nowhere near what stowe has IMO. Stowe is more expensive but has high speed lifts but the epic pass makes lines long sometimes.
Couple First Time to Vermont: Stowe & Woodstock Trip Itinerary
2022年6月10日 · In Stowe, you should probably drive over smugglers notch because it's really pretty and free (unlike the auto road). There is a short hike to Sterling pond up there, and you can visit the distillery in Jeffersonville on the other side.
Jay Peak Vs. Stowe : r/icecoast - Reddit
2020年2月20日 · Stowe doesn’t have an equivalent to Jay’s Face Chute and Tuckerman chutes marked those are like a slightly more open set of the kitchen wall or bypass gullies. Tower bar is no Mansfield lodge, but should solve your thirst problem. The glades at Jay are bisected by trails far less than at Stowe.
Stowe vs Killington : r/icecoast - Reddit
2019年10月15日 · Stowe has a more upper class clientele. Mountain is cooler and less crowded. Mountain food is 10x better. Bar at the base is amazing, old, reasonable and live band. Great apres afterwards. Also, Stowe has great bars and restaurant in Waterbury. KTown has so many people. Lots of volume. Very crowded. Bar scene is a younger mans game.
Recommended intermediate trails at Stowe? : r/icecoast - Reddit
2024年5月27日 · I'm planning on skiing at Stowe, and I'm looking for recommendations for intermediate trails. I just managed to progress from green terrain to blue. Just for reference, I'm successfully skiing the open blue terrain at Smuggs (Treasure Run and Rumrunner). What are some trails that wouldn't be harder than those?
