The Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33B ("Assault Infantry Gun 33B"), was a German self-propelled heavy assault gun used during World War II. A new, fully enclosed, and heavily armored boxy casemate superstructure was built on the chassis of the Sturmgeschütz III.

Auf dem Rückmarsch machte der von Maikowski angeführte Sturm 33 in provokatorischer Absicht einen Umweg durch die vorwiegend von KPD-Anhängern bewohnte Wallstraße in Charlottenburg. Dort kam es zu einem Schusswechsel, bei dem der Polizist Josef Zauritz erschossen und Maikowski so schwer verletzt wurde, dass er im Krankenhaus Westend starb.
