SU42 is a Polish diesel-electric locomotive used for light freight and passenger traffic purposes. The SU42 is in fact the same locomotive as SM42 and SP42. The original class SU42 were modifications of class SM42 done during the 1970s.

Class designation SU42 was formally cancelled on June 1, 2000. SU42 was in fact preceded in service by a dedicated and more extensively re-designed passenger version. In early 1970, SP42 (factory type 101D) appeared, fitted with WB5 oil-fired heating boiler. Acceptance tests were completed by December.

Some planned passenger train haulage has been available from SM42s that have been sold on from PKP use. 2021年12月9日 · Lokomotywy SM42 ożywiły ruch pasażerski na lokalnych trasach i stopniowo wypierały ciężkie lokomotywy parowe. Pierwsza lokomotywa została skierowana do Warszawy do lokomotywowni Odolany i testowana była ze składami osobowymi na trasie Warszawa Gdańska – Działdowo. Szlak był wówczas niezelektryfikowany.

2024年8月16日 · SU42-1010 dostarczona w maju 2015 roku, poprzednio SM42-530 zbudowana w 1972 roku. Konstrukcja 6Di (SU4210). W marcu 2021 rok, na szlaku Nr 403 Piła – Wałcz – Kalisz Pomorski – Ulikowo, kursowały cztery par pociągów osobowych PolRegio i jedna para TLK 28100 „Staszic” relacji Lublin Główny — Szczecin Główny.

2024年8月16日 · Diesel locomotive NEWAG SU4210-002. The SU4210-002 locomotive comes from a copy of the SM42 locomotive, which was built in 1973. At that time, it received the serial number 6D-8805/1973 and the designation SM42-643. After its service, the locomotive was designated for scrapping (2013), which was not done.
