2022年9月19日 · English sub was all over the place and did not match up with original language and felt like the sub was intended for Eng dub (I have not watched Eng dub and probably won't). Eng dub always feels subpar when dubbed over the original no matter the language (ex: watching a German show in eng, just felt all sorts of weird so I watched it in German).

But, sometimes, the dub can be way better than the sub, and this doesnt apply to english, any dub can be better in some cases. Take for example the Ghost Stories english dub, which is a very rare case, but literally NOBODY would have cared about it if it werent for the english VA´s having free reign on whatever they chose to make the dialogues ...

2024年7月20日 · The dub even has moments where they outshine the sub. But I would say the art style is much more complimented in English than Japanese too. Given it is a show with lots of action, if the acting is comparable, you'd get more enjoyment as well by not having to look down and read a lot during moments you want to see the animation shine.

2024年12月5日 · End of Dandadan answer and more about dub/sub generally. Sub is generally just better because of the more competitive market, and the infrastructure to foster good voice actors in Japan. The voice actors in the US typically go to video games or US animation where there is more work, and i’d assume more money than with dubbing foreign animation.

2023年1月31日 · Sub is much better other than the narrator that is superior in English, but you will lose so much more by watching it dub (Kaguya’s o kawai o koto, China’s VA is unmatched, Shirogane’s VA is freaking OPM, and no DIO for dub, come on now this shouldn’t a debate).
