2006年3月15日 · For every 98-01 2.5 RS produced, there are 2.5 RS25.com members. AFAIK, the model codes only identify a wagon and sedan for the WRX. So, I believe the 2 door WRX is still a GC8. 2 door old body WRX is a GM8. Wagons start with GF and sedans start with GC. 25 pounds. The STi Type R coupe is still a GC8.

2015年6月23日 · There were six versions of the GC8 STi. The different versions were marketed with consecutive numbers. Another way to tell the version of a WRX STi was to look at the chassis code. Sedan STi Model Codes were GC8, Coupes were GM8 and Station Wagons were GF8, followed by a letter from A to G.

2014年2月7日 · So, it's either a GM6 or a GM8. The GC8 is just the most used because it was the WRX Sedan that was the most popular of that era. Edit: GC8_Guru was 100% correct below. There is nothing called coded as a GM8, I extrapolated incorrectly. The correct listing is the following (for coupes and sedans): GC2 = 4 door w/ 1.8L engine.

2004年11月1日 · Basically each letter in the chassis code means something regarding engine, style, # of doors and such. GF8 is the same engine, but in a wagon. GM6 is a US 2.5RS coupe from 98-01. And so on... Hmm, what about a JF1 then? If you are looking at the first three letter of your VIN, that's not the chassis code...the next three characters are.
